Glidetrack HD

Following on from the post before about how my shots from the wedding were very shaky, over the summer I made a purchase on a Glidetrack. The video below is to show just what the Glidetrack does and how it works.

I was un decided whether or not to buy one of these or a glide cam. The only thing that was putting me off about the Glidecam was the setting up and balancing which iv heard can be quite a long process. This meant if I was shooting a wedding and I didn't get the glidecam balanced in time, the shot i wanted to get would have been either poor or even non usable. Obviously with the Glidetrack, you are stuck to only move however long your track is, but its great how quick and easy it is to set up and shoot. With the jobs I had coming up over the summer, The Glidetrack would be perfect to get the results I wanted.

Below is the first video I created after buying the Glidetrack. It was a promotional video for a nightclub I take photos for back in Leicester. They wanted a video to promote Christmas at their club, trying to take booking as soon as possible. Originally they gave me an idea but I wasn't 100% sure if it was going to work and I wasn't sure if it was something I was going to be able to pull off myself. So I spoke to them and asked if I could put my spin on it and come up with something that I think would be a better idea. They were happy for me to do so, so I put my ideas together and away we went. Below is the final video

The shots I wanted to get came out just how I wanted them to. They look professional and clean and them shots in particular have had a lot of praise. To finish it off I got a nice little comment from Glidetrack themselves.
