Harvard Referencing Refresh

Means of:

Indicating. Thus avoiding Plagiarism which would be:
  • Copying direct from text (book, magazine or printed source) without referencing its author or using an appropriate referencing system 
  • Paraphrasing is also not allowed. (replacing words or phrases in a copied sentence to make it sound different
Plagiarism is "intellectual theft"

Bibliography (arranged alphabetically)

This is the part where the full details of your references should be included. You may use italics or underline them. 

Books in brief:

Authors name, initials. (year of publication in brackets), Title in Italics, Place of publication, publisher.

Example:

Book with single author:
  • Dormer, P. (1990) The Meanings of Modern Design, London, Thames and Hudson. 
Book with more than one author:
  • Smith, P and Mason, D. (1995) What is art? London, Blacks
Edited Texts:
  • Frascina, F and Harris, J. (eds) (1992) Art in Modern Culture, London, Open University
