After looking at vimeo for a couple of hours during the weekend. I came across this short. It is a by a Spanish VFX company based in Barcelona. The short took only 2 months to create which is a very short space of time for 70 shots and 20 full CGI shots.
What I like about this piece is how well the robot's texture matches the real world. I think a lot of the time, the geometry can be amazing but the textures just don't fit well due to the lighting not matching the real world and also the textures themselves. You could have the most simple piece of geometry in the world but if you light it well and texture it well, it will fit.
