On the 5th of February I shot a night at Space in Leeds where a very big Radio 1 DJ was playing. Mistajam was playing a 1 hour set which meant I was asked to film and put a video together to showcase the night. Luckily the 5d Mark 3's were available to use so I was excited to see how it performed.
For this video I really wanted to put a very tidy, well shot edit together. Usually I make very quick movements with the camera to make the video look dynamic but for this one I wanted to make sure I was keeping the shots well composed and instead of shooting at 25fps, I shot at 50fps to slowdown some of my footage to match with the breakdown of the track I was provided. I used the 50mm 1.4 on the 5d and I can safely say that the outcome was phenomenal. A great lens to use in low light and because of the wide apature, the shallow depth of field just finishes the shots of nicely.
