The Role of the Producer

As a group we decided that I would take on the role of being the producer. In this case, that involved calling up for actors/actresses, sorting out food for everyone and making sure that people helping out overall were Happy. I made sure that Shelley our dancer got to the location and home without having to pay for anything herself. I took a trip to the shop before the shoot and got everyone and sandwich each, a couple of bags of crisps each and a drink. These may only seem small things but they all add up to having a good, smoothly run, successful day. Unfortunately one of us was going to have to wait around for a while with the gear whilst we went off and shot some of the shots but because we had food and drink for them, it softened the blow a little bit.

For both videos, my job was to sort out the locations. For the first video I found two locations. Woodhouse woods and Meanwood. We went to Woodhouse woods to film some test footage but we felt it wasn't the best for what we wanted. It was far too narrow so we was hoping that Meanwood would be more what we needed. The next day we got a taxi to Meanwood and instantly we found so many opportunities to film so we had spend a good hour walking around taking some photos making sure we knew where we wanted to shoot each scene so when it came to the day of the shoot, we didn't waste any time looking for places to film. I will attach the photos to this blog post in the next couple of days.
